Rough, red Amber. Dragon’s Blood Jasper.

Wow what are you gonna do with the amber?

Display it in my apartment, like I do with all my minerals. ^_^.

  6. Venus of Moravany, c. 24, 000 - 22, 000 BCE
  7. Venus of Dolni Vestonice 29,000 - 25,000 BCE
  8. Venus Kostenky (Limestone), c. 23,000 - 21, 000 BCE.
  9. The Goddess Inanna in breast-offering pose. As early as 3500 B.C.E.
  10. Venus of Laussel, Dordogne, France. 20,000 BCE

…i could go on.

There is a lot to be said for these wonderful Venus Statues.

And they are all depictions of fat bodies. Academics deeply invested in fatphobia may lace these up as “fertility representation”, which it may well have been, but the general mentality when they say this, about these specific ancient artefacts paints the picture of what you see here as being all “slim, and pregnant”, but this description is clearly incorrect. So I call it as i see it: Adipositivity. Ancient style… As if it would even need a name then. You tell me i’m “new” with your head made of mimicked-media sponge, the only “new” is the hatred towards my body size and the profit being made off of teaching this hatred en masse. I’m just as ancient as what was.

Fuck yes my love of neolithic art and fat bodies has intersected in this post.
